Dingwall, set on the Cromarty Firth is a friendly town with plenty of things to see and do.  The people here are known for the warmth and hospitality, and the area is full of spectacular scenery.  Dingwall is a perfect base for sightseeing in this part of Scotland.  It is only eighteen miles from Inverness, the city of the Highlands and eight miles from Beauly.

Some things to see when you are here:  Find out about the famous general who died mysteriously in Paris - his monument is on top of Mitchell Hill or check out the Niel Gunn Memorial, Niel Gunn was famous for writing "The Silver Darlings" amongst his other books.
